What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of guided hypnosis. A hypnotic, trance-like state occurs naturally in everyone when certain physiological and psychological conditions are present and it's possible to use this state to make changes to thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Hypnotherapy accesses the subconscious mind, using this trance-like state, therefore by-passing the conscious mind to help bring about positive changes.
Neuroscientists have discovered that subconscious thoughts can be up to 10,000 times more powerful than conscious ones. Solution-focused hypnotherapy combines evidence-based neuroscience with psychotherapy techniques, relaxation, visualisation and positive suggestion, enabling you to move towards your desired change or goal.
What is Solution-focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution-focused Hypnotherapy is focused on your current situation and how or what you want to change. Based on positive psychology and using solution-focused brief therapy and gentle hypnotic trance, solution-focused hypnotherapy teaches you to build a positive mind-set and gives you tools to help you in your everyday life, helping you to create the future you desire and deserve.
It is widely used with those struggling to manage their anxiety, low mood, stress and overwhelm, for menopausal symptoms and weight management, as well as increase confidence and self-esteem and can help to change unwanted behaviours and habits and lessen fears and phobias. It is future-focused so we will not dwell on the past and you will not need to recount or re-live past events.

How does Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis, which is a perfectly natural state of trance. Using trance with talking therapy can facilitate a gentle and organic process of brain training and re-education. We all experience trance every day; when we daydream, when we watch television, or endlessly scroll through popular social media platforms, when concentrating on something or even when driving. We are actually in a trance – a light state of hypnosis. When we are relaxed in trance, it becomes so much easier for the therapy to make an impact and enable you to make changes for the better - helping you to ‘feel right’ and get the very best out of yourself.
What are the Benefits?

The most important thing to know is that while in hypnosis you will remain in control, at all times.
I will guide you into a state of deep relaxation using visual imagery which will enable you to access the subconscious mind. From this deep state of relaxation, suggestions are made to help release feelings of tension, stress, conflict, fear or anxiety to encourage new ways of thinking, of being, to help you access your inner resources and restore feelings of calm, balance, increase confidence and positivity for ongoing everyday life.

Sessions last 1 hour.
For your convenience, the hypnotherapy sessions are conducted online via Zoom or Whatsapp Video. All you need to do is ensure a good internet connection or a fully charged phone.
Also, for the sessions, remember to choose a quiet, private space where you will not be overheard or disturbed and where you can fully relax. A space with a comfortable chair or sofa is ideal.
